Job title: Toolroom Die Maintenance Technician
Hours: Double days (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm)
Location: Telford
Salary: £32,720 plus shift allowance

My client is a leading automotive manufacturer based in Telford.

Toolroom Die Maintenance Technician responsibilities:

"Responsible for the general maintenance of the tooling and assisting the Toolroom Supervisor in running the toolroom effectively.
"Attending breakdowns on tooling equipment
"Implementation of daily preventative maintenance
"Cleaning of all production tooling in line with required deadlines
"Ensuring clear communications in regard to issues or impacting information to leader on shift
"Preparing and testing tools by laying out, setting up and machining.
"Making parts of various plant machines
"Following up on repair work
"Promotion and implementation of Health and Safety on site at all times.

Toolroom Die Maintenance Technician, skills and Experience required:

"Time served apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline
"Good hand tool skills
"Ability to red and interpret engineering drawings
"Must have experience of working with toolroom equipment including overhead cranes
"Must have experience of using inspection equipment
"Must have used milling machines, lathes, surface grinder, bench grinder and rockiniser.
"Knowledge of vaccum die-set servicing and maintenance would be beneficial
"Experience in using CNC machines would be preferable
"TIG & MIG welding capabilities would also be beneficial
