Job Description

Our client has been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing low energy, low carbon, and sustainable solutions for over many years. Due to growth we are seeking a Trainee Field Based Installation Engineer based in the South of England.

Job Summary


We are currently recruiting for a competent, reliable, hardworking Trainee Field Based Installation Engineer to join our busy and contracts department, working predominately in the HVAC industry.


Reporting to the Installation Manager you will be full trained to becme a field based Engineer working alongside an assistant engineer, in the high quality installation of the full range of natural ventilation, natural lighting, and natural cooling products, working on a various range of construction sites throughout the South of England.


This is a demanding and rewarding job, with full product training provided which will allow the successful candidate to develop experience and knowledge within a dynamic organisation.

Essential Criteria
o Appreciation of and implementation of site safety regulations is essential, SSSTS / SMSTS certified is preferable, but must be a CSCS card holder as a minimum
o Must have full UK driving licence
o Protective clothing to be worn to Company and Contractor policies
o Requirement to occasionally stay away from base
o Working at heights
o Manual work which requires suitable level of health and fitness
o Will be DBS checked
o Health and Safety Training will be provided and must be successfully completed
o Able to demonstrate good leadership, written and verbal communication skills
o Able to organise and prioritise workload effectively
o Able to deliver high quality customer service to both internal and external customers
o Able to overcome challenges posed by working in the construction industry
o Responsible and reliable individual

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the quality installation of Company products by:
o Liaising with Company Engineers, Main Contractors & Clients to coordinate and ensure efficient delivery of a project.
o Fully comply with site specific Health and Safety requirements.
o Organise a team and have responsibility for the co-ordination of works and specific duties of other team members
o Qualified in erecting scaffolding and use of powered access equipment to Manufacturer's Instructions.
o Use of small powered and manual hand tools.
o Completion and submission of weekly timesheets & project documentation in line with company policy.
o Work as part of a team.
