Our client is a well respected and professional Insurance Underwriters based in the heart of the City of London and they have a new opportunity for a Trainee to join their IT team.

This role will have a mixture of responsibilities but will primarily consist of 1st Line IT support across the whole of their business

You will need to be a confident and articulate communicator as you will be assisting at all levels including the Chairman if required!!

You will deal with all initial IT Service Desk enquiries - both on the phone and via email and respond as required.
You will also carry out IT operational tasks such as checking overnight procedures for completeness, administer tape replacement for back-up of all servers, resolve failures and deal with log on queries

As well as IT support you will also assist the Office Manager with facilities and office related services such as office supplies and maintenance ( arranging engineers etc) walking the floors to ensure facilities are all uptodate - so again strong communication skills are essential - you will also cover for the Office Manager during holiday periods

So although this is an entry level role there is a good level of responsibility and the chance to get involved

Full training will be given and initially this will be home based until the London office re-opens

A good secondary/college level Education ( this will probably not suit a Graduate) with a genuine interest in IT who can start ASAP
