Trainee Production Supervisor

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award winning food business which is dedicated to producing the highest quality products using modern facilities, techniques and systems.

The purpose of the Production Supervisor job is to lead the daily activities of the food manufacturing department, ensuring the smooth running of the production unit with deadlines and end goals in mind. You will ensure all food production staff are utilised on a daily basis and take a hands-on approach to supporting staff and dealing with queries and daily issues.

Core duties:
Responsible for the manufacturing of food products by most cost-effective means, and to agreed specification

Scheduling of all work within the factory and the organisation of workflows
Supervision of all staff within the manufacturing area, from time and attendance, discipline and performance management
Monitor plant maintenance, ensuring machinery is maintained o Promote a positive working environment and motivate staff
Ensure cleaning & hygiene standards are maintained
Provide training for production staff as required

Your experience:
To be considered for the Production Supervisor job, you will be a good team player who has a solid food production track record together with previous supervisory, line leader or team leader experience.
Experience of working in a BRC accredited food production environment is highly desirable.
You will have a hands-on, can-do work approach and can lead by example and to succeed you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be passionate about keeping high working standards.

More details:
The Production Supervisor's job is based in the Inverness area. The candidate will be required to work full time hours between Monday to Saturday but the business hours may change depending on the business requirements.
