Trainee Quality Assurance Coordinator

Are you looking for a great new opportunity? This is a trainee position and would suit someone who would really like to learn about QA (Quality Assurance) and is willing to learn on the job. Based in St Albans for a well established business, my client is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join their friendly and dynamic team. You should have a good eye for detail, good PC skills, good communication and a team player.

You will be working to tight deadlines therefore you need to understand about working to a strict Critical Path and able to create and work to your own monitoring systems. You will be part of a small, close knit team - 3 Production staff, 2 QA staff.

Salary 22k per annum with good benefits

Hours: 9:00 -17:30 Monday to Thursday, finish 16:30 last Friday of each month

Location: St Albans


The company produce a diverse range of products for major retailer, therefore they need someone who's a quick learner and can pick up the basics of what's required within Quality Management -Product legislation - Safety, Legality, Environmental, for many different types of products.

The following are some of the functions you would be doing once you've received adequate training:

1) Control / manage testing requirements with suppliers and Test Houses - UK & China
2) Create instructions for use, cautionary statements required on artwork.
3) Risk assessment of products - fit for purpose, safety hazards etc.
4) Product testing using in-house Lab equipment.
5) Manage customer service/complaints.
