Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Larne to recruit a full time and permanent Trainee Transport Planner

The candidate hired will be responsible for consolidating a variety of loads in the most efficient way possible and managing drivers in order to achieve all targets.

Duties

Liaise with all drivers and warehouse staff to ensure an efficient work environment.
Report to Transport Manager Team member in the event of product recall or withdrawal and incident management occurrences Maintain vehicle operating standards.
Ensure product safety, integrity and quality is not affected during storage and transport.
Oversee planning of loads to ROI & NI Creates manifests to ensure load consolidation.
Liaise with Transport planners in our depot in England.
Complete appropriate checks and paperwork for goods received.
Deal with staff and customer queries
Organising of loads for next day deliveries
Arrange good`s in and out bookings.
Observe all aspects of health and safety regulations and training requirements.
Make the Transport Manager aware of any issues that may arise.
Operates at all times in line with company policies and procedures.
Operation of forklift machinery to fulfil load preparation
Assist the team with loading and unloading delivery vehicles if required.
Any other duties as and when required.

Strong administration skills
Strong communication skills
Good problem-solving skills, good attention to detail and an ability to thrive under pressure.
Computer literacy is essential to this position

Hours or work are Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm

Salary will start on 23k
