Are you a graduate and class yourself as an analytical thinker? If so my client based in Harpenden is seeking a Trainee Underwriter to join their busy and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to kick start your career.

You will have a genuine interest in starting a career within the insurance sector. You will be an analytical thinker and good with Maths/figures/sums is essential. Full training will be given to the successful candidate as the company are looking to invest their time and money to develop and fast track you to be an Underwriter.

You will build industry knowledge and experience, working with clients, insurers and staff, to deliver appropriate and competitive insurance terms, conditions and service levels.

Provide compliant and timely administration and documentation.
Support underwriters in assessing risk quality of proposals, gathering relevant information, collecting and tracking signed copies of all documents.
