Job Description

Job title: Translations Project Coordinator

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00)

Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: Hull

We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join one of our successful clients who provide interpreting and translation services across the UK.

The successful candidate will be dealing with Translation projects from start to finish which means the success of each project is in your hands. You need to show common sense, have a "can-do" attitude, enjoy a busy environment and be adept at multi-tasking. Also, good computer literacy is key, and you should be eager to strengthen and develop your personal and technical skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling, and monitoring translation projects
  • Sourcing and coordination of translators and other language professionals including negotiation
  • Proofreading and QA-checking of translations
  • Effective communication with clients, linguists, and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction including answering incoming calls from clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Understand and abide by individual project instructions
  • Data entry
  • Work effectively in a team driven environment
  • Dealing with emails from clients and translators to maintain good relationships

  • A positive and friendly attitude
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • The ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines in a team environment
  • Customer service and/or project coordination experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office as well as the ability to learn new software
  • Excellent computer literacy


  • University Degree/A Levels
  • Knowledge of another language
  • Previous experience within the Translation industry
