Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Cookstown, County Tyrone to recruit a Transport Manager for their expanding transport department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient planning and coordinating of all transport and logistics functions.

Duties:

* Manage the planning and transport team and motivate the work-force
* Oversee and coordinate the scheduling of deliveries and collections
* Ensure efficient use of fleet while maintaining the highest standards in customer service
* "O" license compliance and control
* Ensure compliance with fleet servicing, maintenance, driver`s training etc.
* Ensure a high degree of H&S and that safe operating procedures are adhered to

The Person:

* Previous experience in a transport or logistics role
* Proven leadership skills
* Strong communication skills
* The ability to work under pressure
* Customer focused "can do" attitude
* Attention to detail
* Problem solving skills
* Previous experience in the hire industry and plant equipment would be advantageous
