We have an exciting new job opportunity available in Chelmsford to join a reputable and respected company as a Transport Planner. This role will see you reporting to and working with the Contract Manager as well as closely working with team, Clients and Sub-Contractors.
As a Transport Planner, the primary duty is to plan, direct and control the activities, duties include:
" Provide high quality service to both internal/external clients.
" Route planning within a timely and costly manner and managing up to 12 HGV drivers.
" Brief and debrief drivers within the company's policies and procedures.
" Supporting clients/Companies to ensure deliveries and collections are organised.
" Communicate information to the direct manager, our clients and customers.
" Supporting with complaints/challenges and overcoming with solutions.
" Managing a portfolio of suppliers and reviewing tariffs.
" Maintain a road worthy fleet including services, checking vehicles and legal standards.
" Managing fleet of vehicles, journey planning, reviewing traffic and any drops in between.

To be successful in your application, you will need experience of working in Transport Planning and managing 12 plus HGV fleet. This experience is crucial for the role and they cannot consider any applications if you do not have this experience.
