Job Description

Working for a global Insurance Company that are constantly expanding their teams. Theya re now looking for a UAT Analyst based in their Central Croydon Branch.

Objective of the Role

Manage, maintain and centralise the planning, test case production and execution of UAT creating a consistent and standardised approach to test planning, test case creation and execution of testing

Estimation and planning efforts around testing, documentation, communication, reporting and process design. Test planning supported by clear test plans and milestones to ensure seamless execution, deployment and overall system readiness

Hours: Thirty-five hours per week.

Main Duties
Create and maintain test plans for multiple complex applications
Play an active role in the prioritisation, management and delivery of regression testing, business change requests, defect remediation and new project requests
Review requirements/solutions and prepare test cases to check for the correct response when entering correct and incorrect information
Create and execute test scripts to cover functional testing, user acceptance testing and regression testing
Organise and participate in test plan walkthroughs
Support AzP UK legacy system regression testing as part of the routine product engine release cycle
Support AzP Global Office target system regression testing as part of regular product release and system upgrades
Ensure full coverage of the requirements to be tested as well as preparing repeatable tests to ensure the solution continues to perform as expected end to end
Evaluate, troubleshoot and test the software repeatedly in search for bugs and errors
Document what has been tested and capture the results obtained
Develop sign off methodology which links test results to test plans and initial business requirements
Produce project health check reporting and analysis on UAT test cases vs identified bugs and issues
Verify that the software delivered meets the business needs and requirements specified
Conduct post live test cycles in production environment to support full business sign off
Ensure systems work properly when integrated with external systems


Other Responsibilities
Actively participate in business requirement review sessions, daily stand ups, sprint planning session, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives release planning as necessary
Report and escalate issues to the Project Manager/Product Owner in a timely manner
Handover the specification and test findings to the Business so user guides can be produced
Keep up to date with any changes made to applications and interdependencies that impact on testing Ensure all documentation, including user guides and test scripts, are maintained and updated
Collate and provide accurate, timely statistics relating to the quality of User Acceptance Testing
To produce accurate reports and dashboards which may include:
Outstanding list of known defects and change requests
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Progress reports
Release timetables

Support Company Objectives
Make suggestions for enhancements to the product based on testing/usability throughout the testing process
Use business feedback and competitor information to improve our products and services
Identify and creates new opportunities which benefit the business - is able to think "outside the box" and turn ideas into workable propositions
Team Work
Act as a subject matter expert in the functionality assigned for the project
Builds effective relationships across department, IT and the wider team
Assists others with work prioritisation to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved

Qualifications:
Essential
Well presented in line with working within a corporate environment
Educated to the equivalent of A level standard or above including maths and English
Experience of performing User Acceptance Testing across multiple applications
Experience in working in a web application environment:
Familiar with different types of internet browsers
Fundamentals of HTML
Notions of web page usability and accessibility
Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
The ability to effectively communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
Sound basic knowledge of MS Office package e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong analytical skills and Excel based report writing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, quick thinking, flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Responsible and confident approach to work duties
Self-motivated, Self-starter
Able to work with minimal supervision
Quality focused
Attention to detail

Desirable
Educated to the equivalent of Degree level
Completion of a UAT specific training course
Experience and knowledge of working with Agile and Scrum / Kanban methodologies
