Based in York my client is looking for someone who can help build strong relationships with clients, who has strong attention to detail, who can think for themselves and be able to find solutions that benefit both the client and their business.

The role of an underwriter is to analyse the business and assess the risks and work out the best way to help the client at the best price. Propose and negotiate policy terms, including appropriate limitations and endorsements. You'll review and check insurance quote submissions, referrals and amendments, talking to the relevant agent to establish material facts to ensure new business and policy changes meet our clients underwriting criteria.
