As an underwriter you will be predominantly working with colleagues from the Agency network. An agent will come to you for help on underwriting their customer's business.

What will you do?
- You will then analyse it,
- Assess the risks,
- Work out the best way to do this at the best price,
- Then you will propose and negotiate policy terms including appropriate limitations and endorsements,
- Review and check insurance quote submissions, referrals and amendments,
- Talk to relevant agents to establish material facts to ensure new business and policy changes and meet the underwriting criteria.

Skills we are looking for:

- Ability to use your own initiative,
- The ability to build strong working relationships.

Of course, underwriting experience would be great. But more than anything, it's outlook and personality that matter. But if you take the time to do things properly and are able to put the customer first to help them achieve what they want to achieve the company can help teach you the rest!
