Job Description

Are you an underwriting assistant or executive looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience within an insurer, MGA or broker background?

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity. Working at the client's head office in Warrington area, you will be a part of the underwriting team and will be acting as the main point of liaison between the client and underwriters/broker's on a day to day transactional level.

A competitive salary between £25,000 to £30,000 per annum.

37.5 working hours with 8 - 5.30 being our core hours. The hours will fit into these, 8 - 5.30 for example wouldn't be the full day.

Your day to day responsibilities for this role include:

Providing assistance to the managing director during the renewal of all binders.

Helping resolve the day to day underwriting queries, validations and referrals via e-mail and over the phone.

Assisting in all underwriting queries.

Managing policy wordings and IPID's, ensuring there is legal compliance followed.

Preparing and the maintenance of spreadsheets for reporting.

Undertaking analysis of competitor prices and products to provide accurate information for reporting purposes.

Issuing of all legal documentation.

Corresponding to all e-mails and letters.

Working in collaboration with business partners and colleagues.

All administrative and underwriting support to the wider underwriting and sales support functions.

In order to apply for this role, you must have:

Underwriting experience from an insurer, broker or MGA background.

Possess strong organisational skills and excellent time management.

Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Work towards a high standard of numeracy and literacy.

It would also beneficial to have experience of working or to be knowledgeable with the Transactor system.
