Our Croydon based client is recruiting for a Valuation Officer. Their main functions are to compile and maintain the business rating and council tax valuation lists for England and Wales, value property in England, Wales and Scotland It provides statutory and non-statutory property valuation services in England, Wales and Scotland, determine Local Housing Allowance levels and register fair rents in England.
District Valuer Services (DVS) provides property valuations for the public sector.
The role involves undertaking delegated tasks at various points throughout a case or other work type process:
Registration/closing of cases on our systems
Gathering of property information from our bespoke databases as well as online tools
Using Microsoft applications and VOA systems to extract data and produce reports
Dealing with enquiries from internal & external clients by email, telephone and in writing
Making outgoing calls to obtain relevant information
Following written instructions and routine procedures
Working independently and taking initiative or making enquiries where required
Producing standard letters and completing templates
Undertaking data processing and administrative duties using typing skills
Completing tasks within a given time frame to meet team targets
Most activities require use of the computer system.
