Job Description

We`re looking for a confident Vehicle Assistant for our busy automobile auctioneers. As Operations and Vehicle Assistant you be moving various vehicles around but more importantly checking vehicles over for any data and info that could go against current GDPR legislation.

We are a national leader in automobile auctions and we`re currently recruiting for our South London branch.

It will be your role to ensure the smooth running of the yard operation through timely vehicle movements and working within Auction processes and procedures, adhering to HSE requirements at all times.

The bulk of the position involves jumping into various vehicles that have fresh from delivery. These cars may come with extras that could land us in hot water if we don't check them out thoroughly. Letters intended for the previous owner stuck under the seat, Address or Phone Data stored in the Sat Nav, anything like this goes against current Data Protection laws so we want you to go in and get the cars compliant!

That's the general gist of it, there will be other times where you will be helping out around the yard moving vehicles up the line and generally helping out with other tasks in your department.

It is a Monday - Friday 40 hour a week position. Our operational hours run over a 12 hour day and we have various shift patterns within this so a bit of flexibility would be great.

The ideal candidate will be a confident driver and happy to drive a wide range of vehicles. We have a big team so being able to work well with others and follow instructions is crucial. Being IT savvy would be helpful all those different Sat Navs work slightly different from each other so you will need to learn your way around different programs.
