Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Manager based on the outskirts of York (you will need access to a car). We are not looking for a do'er we are looking for a thinker!

Your role will involve:
Managing the warehouse & process function, ensuring focus is maintained on internal and external customers, operating at the lowest cost whilst maintaining 100% order fulfilment & services.
Managing warehouse in compliance with company¡¦s policies and vision
Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Take responsibility for the Green-Tech site and stock maintenance
Assist in the implementation of warehouse stock locations/bin locations and Pick and Pack Procedures, then assist in enable this to become mobile.

Effective management and motivation of the Warehouse teams working closely with the Goods- In and Goods Out Teams and the office based Operations Team
Aid in future recruitment and selection and coach and motivate employees
Ensure all KPIs are achieved within set deadlines
Produce required performance reports and receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Identify areas for improvement within current processes and practices and implement
continuous improvement strategies
Ensure maximum stock accuracy across the warehouses
Identify and correct errors in a timely manner
Maintain systems to ensure transactional accuracy; Maintain warehouse / QA systems integrity, especially with regards to traceability, FIFO and accuracy
Drive and promote good housekeeping & best practices
Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times and to actively promote a culture of Health and Safety awareness and continuous improvement
Improve packaging management solutions to ensure better management of stock
Look at potential improvements to materials handling equipment and product storage solutions
Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role, able to effectively manage and motivate a team, strong attention to detail, able to demonstrate working to and achieving targets, have an understanding of Warehouse Inventory systems, SAP experience would be advantageous.

In return you will receive a starting salary of £28,000-32,000, 20 days holiday plus 8 b/h, free parking and a fantastic working environment.
