Brook Street are looking for a Warehouse Operative to be in the Chew Valley area, near BRISTOL!

This is a full-time permanent role, 42.5 hours per week with a Salary of £18,500 per annum.

It is preferred you are a driver with use of own car due to rural location as it is 30/40 minutes drive from BRISTOL!

As a Warehouse Operative the role can be quite demanding but very rewarding as you will be working within a small family run business, for a varied role within a small team.

For this role as Warehouse Operative they are looking for someone who is a logical person with strong analytical skills and someone who works well under pressure. Your position in the company will be key to the smooth running of the business.

The job involves overseeing the picking and storing of goods and cleanliness of the warehouse. Also making sure the Goods in area/warehouse is compliant in every way, reporting anything that is outside the policy laid down in the H&S handbook. (Health and Safety audits / Daily warehouse audits etc.)

To be considered for this role as Warehouse Operative it is essential that you have the relevant forklift truck driver training for some jobs in the warehouse / also cover the Goods in area at the front door.

Day-to-day tasks will include:

1. taking delivery of goods and storing them.
2. checking for damaged or missing items.
3. moving stock by hand or with machines.
4. packing and wrapping goods.
5. loading goods for sending.
6. keeping stock records.
7. cleaning the warehouse.
