Brook Street are working with our client in Craigavon to recruit a full time Warehouse Operative to join the busy warehouse team for a fixed term contact of 6 months

There will be an opportunity for the job to become permanent

The role will involve general warehouse operational work associated with the receipt, storage picking and despatch of orders, using such mechanical aids as necessary and conforming to ISO 9001:2015 Quality standard.

This post may involve overtime and on occasion working at other Group locations as required.

Responsibilities

* Loading and unloading containers, trailers, and other vehicles in accordance with safety procedures.
* Handling diverse loads which can include products such as Forklift trucks, dropped masts, counterweights, carpet yarn, Forklift truck Cabin's, engines etc.
* Working on an outside mobile ramp in all weather conditions.
* Checking, cleaning & photographing products before storage and loading.
* Checking documentation against goods received and goods dispatched.
* Checking for damages and discrepancies.
* Processing and picking customer orders.
* To undertake duties including regular repetitive lifting and carrying
* Liaise with drivers, warehouse and office personnel.
* Maintain good housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding areas.
* To be adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
* Working on different sites as and when the need arises.
* To ensure compliance with company policies & procedures and maintain a high level of Quality, Health
and Safety standards.

Experience

* 2 + years forklift driving experience in a warehouse environment
* 2 + years warehouse experience
* Valid Forklift Counter Balance licence (reach also desirable )
* Full UK Driving License and access to transport
* Applicants must be physically fit and able for Manual Handling Work
* Demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate in English.
* Flexible and available to work over-time as required

Hours - Mon to Friday, 8am to 5pm - 40hrs per week,
Breaks - 1 hr unpaid lunch break (plus usual tea breaks)
Salary - £19,215 per annum
