Job Description
Brook Street Recruitment are working with our client in the Antrim (BT41 area ) to recruit a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join their busy warehouse team.
This is a hands-on, full-time permanent position ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organisation within warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods and verify accuracy against delivery notes and packing lists.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the manager.
- Complete all necessary documentation and assist with updating inventory systems.
- Assist in storing inventory in line with company procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure products are organised, accessible, and stored correctly to maintain stock integrity.
- Monitor stock levels and help maintain an orderly, efficient warehouse layout.
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit and ensure correct labelling and documentation.
- Support loading and unloading of goods from vehicles and containers.
- Participate in regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Report any discrepancies or shortages to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if required).
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and well organised at all times.
- Assist with the preparation of shipping and delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of goods received, dispatched, and stored.
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or freight forwarding environment preferred.
- Counter Balance Forklift and/or reach truck experience is preferred
- Team player with a proactive and dependable attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to approximately 30kg.
