Job Description

Web Developer (back end)

We are currently hiring for a well-known not for profit organisation in Central London, looking for a .Net/Back End Web Developer to join their team on a permanent basis starting ASAP. You will be working on a wide variety of pioneering projects across the organisation, from helping teams who work on the ground delivering services, through to bringing to life their fundraising initiatives.

Salary: £44,000 - 50,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that applications are coded securely, documented, tested and deployed in line with accepted standards
- Work with stakeholders, and colleagues to develop new features and products based on specifications which may range from a detailed technical document to an outline concept
- Efficiently support the company website, improving performance and operation
- Identify how the company can make use of new technology and techniques
- Support infrastructure and development environment
- Ensure the sites meet agreed SLA's for performance and availability

Key Requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of successfully developing web applications using best practices and troubleshooting applications (CMS, Shopping carts, etc.)
- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure and stick to deadlines
- Work in a collaborative development environment contributing to the team in a positive manner to reach the best solution
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems to non-technical team members
- C# / ASP.Net MVC
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012+ / T-SQL and Stored Procedures
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns
- Testing frameworks (nUnit, msTest or similar)
- Mocking frameworks (Moq, RhinoMocks or similar)
- ORM tools (Entity framework, nHibernate or similar)
- IoC containers (Ninject, Unity or similar)
- Error logging (log4net, elmah or similar)
