Job Description

** Weekend Service Care Coordinator **
** St Ives, Cambridgeshire **
** Permanent and part time **
** To work every other weekend; Friday 1pm - Monday 1pm **
** Home and office based oncall role **
** Homecare for the elderly **
** £9.60ph / £4.80ph **

BS Social Care are currently working with a well known homecare franchise care branch within the St Ives area of Cambridgeshire to recruit and permanent and part time candidate to work as a sound board for anything and everything happening over your weekend. You can carry this role out both at home and in the office. If this role appeals to you but you are looking for full time hours, we are interested in training you to work additional hours within the week also.

About the employer; this employer is part of a homecare franchise and have been established for nearly 10 years. They provide care to approx 135 service users who are mainly elderly with they following needs; personal care, moving and handling, medication and mental health. Their services users are cared for via approx 80 Carer Workers.

About the job; this role requires you to play a sound board role for your team. You will be contacted when you are needed and this can be for a whole range of topics; Care Workers calling in sick, a service user being found on the floor, emergency care needed and so forth. The role will require you to be in the office from 1pm - 4pm on Friday, approx 5 hours over the Saturday or Sunday and then 9.30am - 1pm on Monday. All other times, you will work from home with a phone and laptop. Care calls are between 7am - 9.30pm so it is very rare that you will be called in the middle of the night.

About the ideal candidate; we are open to people with no experience within the health and social care sector as all training and support will be given. However, experience in the sector esp homecare is a pro. You will ideally live within 45 mins of St Ives, you will hold excellent customer service skills, be able to communicate well, you will be very organised and will be able to cope with pressure if and when it arises. You will be able to think on your feet, be able to make decisions, use your initiative and be logical in your thought process, be a problem solver and thrive off that fact and lastly be resilient and hard working.
