Job Description

My Guildford based client is looking for an experienced Welder, small batch and maintenance operator to work for a fast paced and busy manufacturing company on the outskirts of Guildford.

DUTIES

1. TIG and gas welding of product to high standard.
2. Small batch work as and when required.
3. Production Jigs and fixture work to support Process improvement projects.
4. General CNC maintenance to include coolant changes and TPM activities.
5. Work with and assist external maintenance contractors on plant fixes when req.
6. In line inspection of product.
7. Reporting to the machine shop supervisor.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• This will be a diverse role, you will be a fast learner with a can do attitude, adaptable and willing to work in multiple areas as required.
• 2 years minimum welding experience in TIG, MIG or gas. Full training will be given where needed.
• 2 years' experience in maintaining CNC and or manual machines + general plant.
• Experience in setting and running CNC machines would be a distinct advantage.
• You will be experienced in reading production drawings.
• Experience in use of hand tools and computers would also be beneficial.
• A good attitude and willingness to learn is the most important requirement.

Reports to Machine shop supervisor

Standard 40 hours a week.

Monday thru to Wed 07.00 - 18.00 Thurs 07.00 - 16.00 Half hour for lunch.

Overtime on occasion

Salary up to 35k a year dependant on experience.
