Our client is looking for an established Technician Supervisor to join them on a full time permanent basis in York. This is an excellent opportunity and would suit someone looking for career development. You will be a pro-active member of the aftersales management team. Supervising a workshop, you will be responsible for overseeing and motivating a team of technicians on a day-to-day basis while carrying out your own technician role. You will be required to run an efficient and professional operation to ensure complete customer satisfaction through the maximum utilisation of workshop facilities and the efficient sale of parts and labour.

You must have a proven track record of achieving success and experience of working in an aftersales environment. Our ideal candidate would be currently a skilled technician in a main dealer environment used to working with the latest light motor vehicle technology looking for the next step in their career, manufacture courses may be available to assist with progression.


You will also be effective in people-managing and supporting colleagues, and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and the Centre's reputation. You will be able to prioritise work while also identifying and maximising business opportunities.

You will need to have Dealership Diagnostics experience.
Be confident in taking control and managing technicians
NVQ Level 3 Qualified in light motor vehicles
MOT Tester Qualified would be ideal but not 100% essential


Hours: 40 hour week split up into 3 days of 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm and 2 Saturdays a month 8 - 4:30

30 minute Lunch & x2 15 minute Breaks in morning and afternoon.

Team: Aftersales Manager, 2 Service Advisors & 5 Vehicle Technicians. This person will be the bridge between the Service Advisors and Technicians.

In return you will receive a salary between 27,000-30,000 depending on experience, good holiday entitlement, pension scheme, free parking and hot drinks, opportunities to progress and develop into more senior positions in the future.
