Workshop Controller
High Wycombe
Perm

Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Automotive client to recruit a Workshop controller. This is a permanent role based in High Wycombe.

Salary: up to 34,000 + Bonus based on experience
Hours: 7.30 - 17:00 Mon - Fri. 1 Saturday Every 4 weeks

Job Description
As our ideal Workshop Controller, you will currently be working either as a Mechanic or a Service Technician in a garage / dealership environment and be ready to take the step up in to an exciting new hand son role. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work to short deadlines and juggle competing priorities. The role demands a flexible attitude and excellent customer service skills as you will be responsible for liaising with both internal and external customers.
You will need to have a proven track record in running a successful fast paced workshop, have good management skills and be able to provide leadership for the Vehicle Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
" Supporting and training the Technicians to improve the skill sets of the team
" During busy periods, undertaking the maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard
" Delivering first class customer service
" Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix
" Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of brand service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators
" Allocate jobs to the workshop team to ensure maximum efficiency
" Liaise with internal and external customers as required for the collection and delivery of vehicles
" Ensuring all parts that are required to complete work within the workshop are ordered
" Ensure that these parts are linked to the correct job number and placed in the correct allocated rack accordingly
