Job Description
Workshop Fitter - Didcot
I am working with a company who are seeking an experienced Workshop Fitter to join their friendly team on a temporary to permanent basis. They are looking for someone from a project-based engineering background with a 'Can do' attitude. There is good potential for overseas travel and also a career progression path in place. They are offering a salary of £24,000 with scope to negotiate. The working hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. If you have a mechanical or electrical background with the skills listed below, then you should apply.
Mechanical skills including:
-Manual and mechanical handling
-Bench fitting
-Working with hand and power tools
-Machinery assembly - mechanical fitting
-Air, gas, oxygen and water pipework fitting
-Welding - oxy-acetylene, electric arc, TIG and MIG
Electrical skills including:
-Low voltage systems
-Single and three phase power systems
-Inverters and variable frequency drives
-Installation and maintenance
Cross discipline skills including:
-Health and Safety, including risk assessment
-Office computer programs
-Use of 2D and 3D CAD systems
-Ability to read and review technical drawings and instructions
-R&D projects and prototype testing
-Inspection skills - including supplier FATs / Site Inspection and surveys
-Supervision skills
-Planning and scheduling project work and an introduction to Project Mgmt.
-Production Engineering including workflow and MRP experience
