Job Description

Are you a Workshop Manager that has successfully managed a workshop previously, ideally in the fleet, logistics or HGV industry? Are you looking for a new challenge?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Working at the client's main base in the Widnes area, you will be required to possess strong people management and lead the workshop teams throughout the UK which requires travel to a number of depots, ensuring that all maintenance facilities are provided with a consistent, high standard of service and road-worthiness within an agreed value measure.

Your day to day duties in this role will include:

Working with workshop supervisors and team leaders to ensure there is a focus on developing staff through the providing of processes and procedures alongside training to ensure there is an improving of services and also profitably when customer needs are taken into consideration.

Executing agreed maintenance activity at agreed costs.

Delivering SLA's alongside ad-hoc reporting and also meeting minimum first time MOT pass rates.

Ensuring there is a clear legal compliance of their workshop operations alongside health & safety requirements.

Assisting with management of P&L (Profit and Loss) for fleet maintenance.

Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and third party suppliers.

In order to apply for this role, you MUST have the following skills and experience:

A strong leader that has detailed, successful people management results alongside successful running of a workshop.

Strong knowledge of road transport legislation alongside fleet related health and safety legislation.

Experience as an LGV Mechanic previously.

Formal or a relevant qualification in LGV Maintenance CPC (similar to a HNC/City & Guilds).

Have experience of managing change and to have worked previously with Trade Unions.
