Fabricator / Workshop operative

Salary - £34,000
Hours - Monday to Friday 08.00 - 18.00
Location - Based out of Roudham, Norfolk

Our client is looking for a Workshop operative to join their team near Thetford

To be successful for this position you must be able to do MIG welding and drive a forklift truck

Duties:

• Carrying out repairs, servicing and set up of OEM equipment which is mainly non-mechanical plant and machinery. Some welding work is often required.
• May be required to spray paint equipment
• Some basic computer work required to complete certs.
• Main daily work organisation will be done by the line manager
• You'll need to drive a counterbalance forklift and operate an overhead crane
• Diligence and attention when carrying out inspections to all lifting equipment on site. The responsibility of signing off equipment
• Professional manner - dealing with a variation of people on site
• Flexible approach to working hours (may be required as that is the nature of the construction industry).
• Any other necessary training will be given
