Job Description

Brook Street (UK) Limited is working with our county Down client who is currently seeking a full time Workshop Supervisor to join their expanding business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Daily operational supervision of a team of Bodyshop / Workshop Operatives and Apprentices
* Providing advice and guidance to the team on all repairs (strip/build, general repairs, paint repairs, colour matching, colour mixing etc)
* Coaching and mentoring technicians and apprentices to develop skills as necessary
* Ensure proper products and processes are being used
* Ensure most productive and efficient procedures are being followed
* Plan workflow through Ovens to maximise utilisation
* Plan work places/parking to best utilise space available (keep doors and access ways clear)
* Completing quality checks prior to each job entering paint booth and after each job is completed before it is signed off
* Ensuring requirement for re-work on all repairs (strip/build and paint) is kept to a minimum
* Ensuring workshop office is kept regularly updated on progress with jobs, particularly if issues arise (at daily meetings)
* Ensuring job cards are fully completed and signed off prior to submission to admin staff
* Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations in the workshop at all times
* Request parts order, allocate parts as required
* Assist with staff reviews and appraisals
* Adhoc duties as requested by workshop Manager

Requirements:

* Possess a full, valid driving licence and HGV licence ( this is 100% essential )
* Possess demonstrable experience of strip/build and paint repairs within a workshop / workshop environment
* Previous experience of supervising staff and coaching others would be advantageous
* Insist on the highest quality of workmanship whilst concentrating on efficiency's
* Work with safety in mind at all times
* Be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to work on their own initiative
* Have the ability to prioritise effectively and be highly organised
* Have a responsible and methodical attitude to work
* Have a willingness to undertake further development as required to benefit impact of the role

Salary will be decided after interview - Circa £25.000 to £30,000 DOE
