Brook Street are currently representing a great company who are looking for Yard Assistants to join them on an initial temporary basis on the outskirts of Sheffield. If you are looking for your next role and have a passion for all things motor vehicle then this role is for you!

Role - Yard Assistant
Pay - £9.50 per hour
Hours - 42.5 per week, working 5 out of 7 days including some weekend work.
Location - Outskirts of Sheffield

This role will be an initial 4-weeks which will then be extended for a further 8-weeks for successful candidates. If you excel in this role then this has the potential to become a permanent position.

The Yard Assistant role will involve the careful checking of vehicles as they arrive at the yard, making sure they appear and work as they should, and logging any issues and damage on to the IT system. Successful candidates will be required to move various vehicles around the Yard so a full UK Drivers License and the ability to park are essential. There is free parking on site for staff.

Candidate Requirements -
- Full UK Drivers License (held for a minimum of one year)
- Confident parking cars of all sizes
- Comfortable with IT systems and capable of learning new systems
- Keen eye for detail
- Organised and able to take ownership of their workload
- Able to work under pressure and maintain accuracy

Role Responsibilities -
- Checking vehicles for damage and logging findings on to the system
- Referring any damaged vehicles on to the repairs team
- Move cars around the Yard
- Checking vehicles in all weathers

This role will be working 5 out of 7 days per week which will involve some weekend work, flexibility with shift patterns is essential to be successful in this role. Many of the duties required from candidates will involve working outside so you will need to be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
