Job Description

I am currently looking to recruit a Yard/Warehouse Operative for a company just on the outskirts of Warwick. The hours are 08:30 - 5pm Monday to Friday with flexibility required for business needs.

This is a permanent position and the salary ranges from £19,000 - £22,000. Due to the location of the business you must be a car driver with access to your own car.

In this position you will assist in the day to day requirements of a busy yard and warehouse providing a smooth and efficient service whilst maintaining compliance with company rules and regulations.

The majority of this position is based outside so you will be comfortable working in all weather conditions. This position will also require you to be physically fit as you will have to lift and carry (heavy) equipment following Health & Safety procedures.

Main duties include -
Load/unload vehicles manually and using forklifts where possible
Ensure loads are correct with the right product and number
Ensure that stock leaves warehouse labelled and in clean condition
Check returning stock for damaged or missing items and complete return notes accurately
Ensure that stock is stored safely
Inspect and report daily any defects to tools and equipment directly to the Warehouse Manager

Essential Requirements
Experience working in a Yard or Warehouse
Driving licence

Desirable Requirements
A counterbalance licence is highly desirable however training will be provided if you do not hold a current one
Health & safety/first aid knowledge
Knowledge or working within construction or building
