Admin Officer
Location: Norwich Combined Court - Fully Office Based
Salary: £12.36 an hour
Working hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (37 hours per week)
If you're seeking an engaging opportunity to work within the Public Sector, we have an opportunity for you! Our Public Sector Client, based at HMCTS Norwich Combined Court, is looking for an Admin Officer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.
As a vital member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of the court and its day-to-day administrative functions. In addition to the Admin Officer duties, you will also be trained as a Deputy Jury Officer. This will involve supporting the jury management process, assisting jurors during their service, and ensuring court procedures involving juries are carried out efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Progress cases through the Court/Tribunal system and provide support to other HMCTS functions
- Refer to problem-solving hubs and use comprehensive guidelines
- Input data accurately onto internal systems
- Strong customer focus and service delivery
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Handle inbound and outbound calls
- Prepare papers and case documentation
- Create and update records
- Email correspondence
- General administrative duties
- Book, prepare, and organise meeting rooms
- Ability to respond quickly and professionally when needed
- Assist with jury management tasks as a Deputy Jury Officer
Requirements:
- Previous experience in administration
- Confident using Microsoft platforms and managing inboxes
- Exceptional communication skills
- Good all-round computer literacy
- Ability to manage a high workload and multitask
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to change
- High standard of customer service
