Location: Birkenhead
Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extending
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Hourly Rate: £13.37 per hour
Job description
HM Land Registry launched the new Local Land Charges (LLC) Register in the Summer of 2018. To facilitate the expedient migration of local authority data onto the HM Land Registry digital register a Brook Street Team is being created in the Birkenhead office to undertake a range of clerical and administrative tasks to access, extract, capture and cleanse local land charges data. Fully office based Flexible hours - must complete 37 hours a week in total. Can work between 7am-6pm. The role requires the successful candidates to carry out, but not limited to, the following: |
Duties:
- Bulk scanning of local authority paper records to defined work instructions.
- Data inputting of Local Land Charges from scanned images to create digital records.
- Enable creation of spatial extents relating to LLC records.
- Provide administrative support duties in HM Land Registry offices and in local authority settings
- Access and update HMLR systems
- Manage calls efficiently providing accurate, impartial information
- Carry out all of the required customer checks.
- Scanning of paper records per defined work instructions
- Working with internal and external stakeholder to resolve questions and queries.
- Data input of local scanned records to create digital records
- Keep up to date with process and practice changes
Requirements:
- The ability when completing data entry to maintain accuracy whilst also working at pace.
- Ability to work methodically and have high attention to detail.
- Good level of IT literacy and PC skills including use of Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to react positively to change according to Programme priorities.
- Ability to respond to gaps, errors and irregularities in information to resolve problems, but also know when to escalate a problem and ask for help.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience of administration and/or customer service in an office-based environment
- Experience of working as a team member to deliver common goals
- Effective organisational skills and able to prioritise work
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to make sound judgements/decisions based on available evidence
