Exciting Opportunity: Administration Officer - Medical Practice Support (Yeovil)
Full-time | Temporary (with potential extension)
37 hours per week | Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm | Fri: 8am-1.30pm
£14.48 per hour
Based in Yeovil| Public Sector | Immediate Start
Our public sector client is seeking a proactive Administration Officer to join their dedicated team supporting a busy Medical Practice in Yeovil.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential services, with full training provided on specialist systems. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with potential for extension.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing administrative support for the medical centre, across multiple clinics and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing clinic diaries and appointments
- Handling shared inboxes, incoming calls, post, and correspondence
- Using the MOD Patient Record System (DMICP) - full training provided
- Collating and analysing confidential medical/patient data
- Acting as the liaison point for internal and external contacts
- Drafting routine correspondence and managing medical documentation
As you'll be handling sensitive information, Caldicott training will be provided. This role also requires a current clear DBS check and three years of references.
About You:
You'll be enthusiastic, committed, and comfortable in a structured environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 12 months' strong administration experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint
- A keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn new systems
