Temporary Community Volunteer Officer/Admin Support - £14.97/hour
Location: East Midlands (Hybrid Working Available)
Contract: 3 Months (Potential for Extension)
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about supporting volunteers and making a difference in your community?
We're recruiting a Temporary Community Volunteer Officer on behalf of one of my clients, to join their East Midlands team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's most respected charitable organisations, supporting the vital work of their volunteer network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the team's shared email inbox, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Support the internal volunteer transfer process with accuracy and care.
- Help prepare and distribute internal newsletters to keep volunteers informed and engaged.
- Approve and oversee stationery orders and general admin tasks.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, taking minutes and following up on action points.
- Maintain and update volunteer data sheets with precision.
- Reconnect with volunteers and provide communication support to the leadership team.
- Assist with managing sensitive or challenging conversations where required.
- Support volunteer recognition and engagement initiatives.
- Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) confidently in day-to-day duties.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Able to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable dealing with sensitive topics and offering support where needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in an admin or volunteer support role is desirable but not essential.
