Deputy Manager (Female Only) - Learning Disabilities Services

Location: Birmingham

Salary: C. £32,400
Hours: 37 hours per week (5 out of 7 days, occasional weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent
Travel: Driving licence and own vehicle preferred

I am seeking a compassionate and self-motivated Deputy Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of two small, homely residential services supporting adults with learning disabilities in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and daily management across two residential services
  • Supervise and support a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide occasional weekend cover
  • Travel for referrals and assessments as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role such as Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Deputy Manager within a setting for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems
  • Flexible, proactive, and organised with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel outside the local area - driving licence and own vehicle preferred
