Deputy Manager - Liverpool, UK

With a strong focus on professional development and a collaborative work environment, we are looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to join a dynamic team in Liverpool.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of care plans for children and young people.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
  • Address and manage challenging behaviour in a constructive manner.
  • Engage with families and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience in children services, particularly in care management and deputy management roles.
  • Strong understanding of anti-social behaviour and its impact on children and young people.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a care setting.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
