Job Description
Deputy Manager (Female Only) - Learning Disabilities Services
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Circa £32,400 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible across 5 out of 7 days, including occasional weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent
Travel: Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to oversee two small residential services supporting adults with learning disabilities in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of two residential services
- Supervise and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide occasional weekend cover
- Travel for assessments and referrals as required
Essential Criteria:
- Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a supervisory role such as Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Deputy Manager within a learning disabilities setting
- Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems
- Flexible, proactive, and well-organised with excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel outside the local area - driving licence and own vehicle preferred
