Job Description

Deputy Manager (Female Only) - Learning Disabilities Services
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Circa £32,400 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible across 5 out of 7 days, including occasional weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent
Travel: Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to oversee two small residential services supporting adults with learning disabilities in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of two residential services
  • Supervise and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide occasional weekend cover
  • Travel for assessments and referrals as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role such as Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Deputy Manager within a learning disabilities setting
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems
  • Flexible, proactive, and well-organised with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel outside the local area - driving licence and own vehicle preferred
