Location: 15, Pocklingtons Walk, Leicester, LE1 6BT
Office Based
Hourly rate: Day 1 rate £12.36 per hour increasing to £12.53 after 12 weeks
Working Days/Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Contract: This a temporary position estimated to run until September 2025 but due to be extended pending performance and business needs

Brook Street in partnership with the Ministry of justice has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an admin officer. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.

List the duties/ responsibilities:

Undertaking general administrative tasks relating to the collection of criminal debt. Responsibilities to include: -
* Creating and updating records on in-house computer system and using Microsoft Excel
* Dealing with customers face-to-face and via email/post
* Interpreting information from a range of sources and making evidence-based decisions
* Printing and despatch of court orders and preparation of court papers
Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel required
Accurate data input and attention to spelling and grammar
Good customer service skills and ability to handle challenging calls
Ability to understand and apply rules and procedures

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
Standard DBS

Training provided, what is their training plan and location of training:
Dedicated trainer, 2-3 months training dependant on each individuals performance.

Additional clearance if applicable:
Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately require an additional overseas police check, this will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide.
