Job Description

Role: Children's Registered Home Manager
Location: Halifax
Service: Four bed EBD service for boys and girls
Salary: £57,000 (Up to £78,000 (inclusive of performance-related bonuses)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours/week)
Bonus Package:

  • Welcome Bonus: £5,000 (post-Ofsted registration)
  • Ofsted Bonus: Up to £6,000 annually
  • Occupancy Bonus: Up to £5,000 every 6 months

Your Role

As Registered Childrens Home Manager, you'll be responsible for the full operational leadership of a children's home, ensuring outstanding care and a safe, nurturing environment where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing residential care team
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and care standards
  • Drive trauma-informed and therapeutic care practices
  • Liaise with multi-agency professionals to deliver holistic care
  • Manage safeguarding, risk, and care planning procedures
  • Promote the home internally and externally with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators
  • Support wider organisational projects and service development

What We're Looking For

  • A child-focused leader with a passion for positive outcomes
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Deputy Manager (or existing Registered Manager experience)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A deep understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic practices
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and team development
