Job Opportunity: Children's Support Worker - Halifax 🌟

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible shifts
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting Children's Support Workers to join a caring and committed team supporting children and young people aged 5-18 in residential settings across Halifax.

🧡 What You'll Do:

  • Provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and encouragement to children in a safe and nurturing environment

  • Support children with their routines, schoolwork, personal care, and social development

  • Promote positive behaviour and manage challenging situations calmly and effectively

  • Work closely with families, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child

  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding protocols

✅ Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (residential, education, or social care settings preferred)

  • A compassionate, reliable, and resilient approach

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or willingness to work towards it)

  • A full UK driving licence is an advantage

  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to undergo a DBS check)
