Job Description
Residential Support Worker - Children's Home (EBD)
Location: Greenford, West London
Salary: Up to £13.50 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We're currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers to join a nurturing and supportive team in a 3-bed EBD Children's Home based in Greenford, West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting vulnerable children and helping them reach their full potential.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in their daily lives
Providing physical, emotional and practical care in line with their individual care plans
Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships
Supporting education and extracurricular activities
Promoting independence and encouraging involvement in community life
Participating in team meetings, supervisions, and staff development
Key Responsibilities Include:
Acting as a key worker for a small number of young people
Supporting children with behavioural management, education, and health needs
Ensuring safeguarding procedures are always followed
Recording and reporting significant events accurately
Working collaboratively within a team to ensure consistent care delivery
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Secondary education
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A caring and compassionate approach
Emotional resilience and ability to handle challenging behaviours
Willingness to work shifts, including sleep-ins (£50 per sleep)
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
A full, clean UK driving licence
Experience in residential childcare or youth work
Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and behavioural management
