Assessment centres are made up of various activities such as psychometric tests, group exercises, presentations and a 1-2-1 interview. Don’t be afraid of them though, they’re a great opportunity to stand out and show yourself at your best.
At the end of the day, it’s all about turning that ‘maybe’ into a ‘yes’:
- Always in the spotlight - Stand out from the crowd as the assessor will be watching from the moment you walk in
- Smash the ice - Make a list of achievements to discuss during the ice breaker session
- Walk the line - Contributing and not over-shadowing is key. Encourage everyone in your group to get involved and ask quieter members for their opinions
