Job Description

Financial Controller
Location: Morayshire (AB56), UK
Salary: From £47,000 per annum, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our client's team in Morayshire. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management across the organisation. Travel between local offices will be required, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
Please note: Only candidates based in or near Morayshire will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including intercompany transactions.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Present financial reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions.
  • Monitor cash flow and optimise working capital.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

What We're Looking For:

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally as a Financial Controller.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
  • High proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
