Job Description
Financial Controller
Location: Morayshire (AB56), UK
Salary: From £47,000 per annum, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-time
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our client's team in Morayshire. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management across the organisation. Travel between local offices will be required, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
Please note: Only candidates based in or near Morayshire will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including intercompany transactions.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Present financial reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions.
- Monitor cash flow and optimise working capital.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
What We're Looking For:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally as a Financial Controller.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
- High proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and organisational skills.
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
