Learning Disability Day Service Manager.
Full time, permanent, Preston.

Brook Street Social Care is proud to be working alongside a well established organisation who provide support to a diverse range of person centred services to adults with learning disabilities, children and the community. We are seeking a skilled and passionate manager who will be leading and managing a team within their established Day Service in Preston.
The Role details:
- Unique opportunity for a manager with passion and experience of supporting adults with learning disability and various support needs.
- Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
- You will lead a large staff team supported by three experienced assistant managers in offering activities, learning and experiences to adults with learning disabilities who have a broad range of support needs in their Day Centre Service
- Through the delivery of a person centred service, where the needs of each individual are paramount you will ensure that outcomes are achieved.
- You will also be responsible for the growth and develop a sustainable day service that meets the ever changing needs of the people being supported.
- Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, hospital passports, communication guides and other key records are up-to-date, and of a high standard.
- Contribute to the service development plans, policy and procedures, and the implementation of new guidance
- Support the Service Manager by contributing to the overall operational functioning of the Day Service
Our Ideal Candidate:
- You will be passionate about working with and supporting adults with learning disability
- Have a proven track record of doing so and in a leadership role
- Your vision and commitment to wanting to make a difference will be key as will your ability to collaborate well with colleagues and motivate and support your staff teams
- You will be able to work well with the Service Manager and Director of Adult Services.
- You will hold the NVQ Level 3 and 5 or be willing to work towards the Level 5 Leadership & Management
- Whilst working generally through day hours during the week you will be flexible to work outside of these hours where required to.
- A well organised, personable and dedicated person who will see this opportunity as one where you can develop and review growth plans for the future.
