Job Description
Our NPS client requires a receptionist to join a busy team on a temporary ongoing basis, with no current end date.
The role is full-time, Mon - Fri 9-5, 37hrs per week, £12.21/hr.
One day will be a late start/finish, possibly till 20.00, currently a Tuesday evening.
Our client is based in Redhill covering two sites, Forum House and Town House. Parking on both sites and access to transport links.
The role is fully on site due to its nature.
This role will offer a great opportunity to work within the Probation Service and gain experience within the Public Sector.
Duties will include but not be limited to
* Administrative duties as well as answering phone queries, dealing with incoming and outgoing post
* General reception duties, door access, signing in/out of visitors, directing of visitors within the building, booking of rooms, stationary orders, time reminders of room users
* Answering busy phone calls
* Liaising with staff and other probation users with professionalism
* Issuing travel warrants
* Locking up of the building
* Stock taking and petty cash reconciliation

Ideal candidates will be confident, outgoing, enjoy interacting with a variety of service users with professionalism and have a calm demeanour. You will also have excellent customer service skills and a passion to help people.
Our client requires the following skills
* Good strong admin/reception experience
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, notably OneNote, word, excel, outlook and Teams
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to always remain professional, firm but fair and converse with a variety of service users
* Excellent organisational skills and experience of working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking.
The pay rate is £12.21 per hour and benefits includes holiday pay and pension scheme.
Full training will be given on the systems, including the panic and escalation process, but the expectation is, you will hit the ground running.
The role will require full 3 year referencing and HMPPS vetting. Due to this, the role will not be an immediate start.
