Job Description
Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Location: National Probation Service, Ipswich (recruitment on behalf of our client)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
Contract: Temporary
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour, paid weekly
We are recruiting on behalf of the National Probation Service in Ipswich for a Temporary Part-Time Receptionist to provide essential front-of-house support in a professional and welcoming environment.
Working Hours:
The role requires availability for:
- Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM
- One evening on Wednesday, 3:30 PM - 9:00 PM
The remaining hours to reach 22.5 per week are flexible and can be arranged to suit the candidate's availability. The office is open four evenings per week, so if a Wednesday evening is not possible, there may be the option to swap shifts with current staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting visitors and People on Probation in person and over the phone
- Managing reception duties and maintaining a professional front desk
- Providing administrative support using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Accurate data entry and retrieval using internal database systems
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient keyboard and IT skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and database systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a secure setting
Additional Information:
- Pay rate: £12.21 per hour, paid weekly
- Parking: No general staff parking on-site during the day; however, evening receptionists are permitted to park on-site. A public car park is located adjacent to the office.
- Facilities: Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, toaster, tea/coffee facilities, and staff breakout areas
