Join a values-driven organisation dedicated to supporting families through compassionate, evidence-based practice. Their mission is to help families stay together when it serves the best interests of the child.

I am seeking a resolute and empathetic Senior Family Support Worker to join a stunning residential assessment service in beautiful Worcester. This role involves working a structured four-week shift pattern, with each shift lasting 12.5 hours.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to build trusting relationships with parents and children and bring a strong commitment to supporting families through challenging circumstances. While prior experience with children and families is essential, full training will be provided in trauma-informed care using the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), which underpins our therapeutic approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and observing structured interventions with families
  • Maintaining accurate, objective records to inform formal parenting assessments submitted to Family Court
  • Applying safeguarding procedures confidently and appropriately
  • Supporting daily operations including handovers, diary coordination, and acting as a point of contact for queries

I am looking for individuals who are organised, emotionally intelligent, and capable of reflective practice. You will also be able to demonstrate resilience in challenging situations, be a driver with a full manual UK licence and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
