Job Title: Admin Officer
Location: Cambridge Country Court - Fully Office-Based
Salary: £12.36 per hour
Working Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (37 hours per week)
Contract Type: Temporary (with strong likelihood of extension)
If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to work within the Public Sector, we are recruiting on behalf of our client at HMCTS Cambridge County Court for a Full-Time Admin Officer.
This is a key position supporting the day-to-day running of the court. You'll be part of a fast-paced team helping ensure proceedings are well-organised and run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage court and tribunal papers, documents and records
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing and post handling
- Support court, tribunal and hearing operations, ensuring files and materials are accurate and up to date
- Assist court users and handle face-to-face, telephone and written enquiries
- Process casework accurately, including court orders, claims, fines, fees and legal aid
- Check and verify documents, data and financial information for accuracy and compliance
- Collect, compile and report information, including basic statistics and financial data
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, supporting team activities and ad hoc duties
- Communicate professionally with the judiciary, court staff, partner organisations and the public
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Confident using Microsoft Office and managing shared inboxes
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage a high workload and prioritise tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
