Admin Officer - HMCTS Kings Lynn
Hours: 37 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.36 per hour
Location: Kings Lynn
Contract Type: Temporary (with possibility of extension)

Brook Street is recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, HMCTS Kings Lynn, for a full-time Admin Officer to support the effective day-to-day running of court operations.

Staff with strong customer service skills are vital to the success of HMCTS. This role involves regular contact with members of the public, many of whom may be in difficult or stressful situations, so empathy, professionalism and clear communication are essential. You'll also liaise closely with court and tribunal staff to ensure cases are processed efficiently and accurately.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain public sector experience while contributing to important work within your local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, managing and updating case files and court documentation
  • Handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Updating internal systems and processing sensitive information accurately
  • Supporting court hearings and daily court operations
  • Drafting standard correspondence and reports
  • General administrative duties including data entry, filing and photocopying

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational ability
  • Confidence using IT systems and handling data securely
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with sensitive situations
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable, but not essential
